While wandering around the Kennedy Space Center and its exhibits and displays, it wasn’t hard to let the mind also wander. Looking at space travel and its history, creativity played an enormous part in where we are today and where we are going tomorrow.
Seeing the looming shuttles, readied on their launch pads, and observing the gravel road the shuttles were moved from where they were assembled boggles my mind. (The gravel is inches deep, mind you. But creative and effective nonetheless.)
From the beginning sketches centuries ago, to an International Space Station to tomorrow’s travel even farther into space.
On the eve of the Atlantis shuttle returning to space for an 11-day mission, take a moment to think about how far creativity has taken us throughout history and how it has taken us into space. And, yet, in many ways, we have a far way yet to travel.
The possibilities seem endless.
