Creativity: Business Savvy or Mental Illness?

Just as a Fast Company article relates that folks now think that the creativity of a CEO is prized over one’s integrity or global thinking, a new Swedish study that found, according to the online Bloomberg BusinessWeek:

“Creative people may think broadly and make unusual associations because they, like schizophrenics, may be less able to filter out information.”

So, among so many other thoughts after reading these two articles, they make me wonder: am I not a CEO because I’m not creative enough or am I not creative enough because I filter too much?

The rest we’ll have to tackle on another day. What are your thoughts?

  2. I think creativity is a higher energy. I think highly creative people are literally on a different wavelength.
