Can it really be, as we watch the downsizing of American business, the time for innovation? When we’re in this state of making do with less, can we really think of ways to create new and innovative businesses and products? We’ll have to see what happens during this time, but Bhaskar Chakravorti makes a convincing argument in his Wall Street Journal piece that this is a good time. He cites innovations that occurred when we might least expect them. I might even have to check out his book “The Slow Pace of Fast Change: Bringing Innovations to Market in a Connected World.” Sounds like it has business, innovation and creativity written all over it.
